What it is

The Committee on Nominations proposes the people who fill elected positions across the conference's boards, commissions, and vision teams. The Discipline asks it to work toward inclusiveness — clergywomen, youth and young adults, older adults, small churches, people with disabilities, and racial and ethnic persons — and to balance representation across districts.

How it works at conference

The committee brings a preliminary report early, which includes the process for nominations from the floor, and a final report acted on later in the session (Rule 25). If you want to nominate someone, the preliminary report is the moment to learn how.
